A lot of what matters for staying well after 60 is never said out loud. What the eye doctor is really looking for. The Medicare date that quietly adds a penalty for life. The rug in the hallway that causes more falls than any staircase.
The Overlooked Fact gathers those facts in one place. We publish free, plain-spoken articles on eyes and ears, heart and blood sugar, sleep and memory, staying active, eating well, Medicare and money, safety at home, and family and caregiving. Each one is written to be read in a few minutes, on a phone, in large clear type.
What we promise
We keep it short and we keep it plain. We stick to facts that are widely accepted in US health guidance, and we do not promise cures, sell supplements or tell you to change a medicine.
When a fact can change, like a Medicare date, a program rule or a price, we say so and point you to the official source. When something could be serious, we tell you plainly when to call your doctor.
What we are not
We are not doctors, and nothing on this site is medical, legal or financial advice. Your own doctor, pharmacist and advisors know your situation. Use what you read here to ask them better questions.
How the site is paid for
The Overlooked Fact is free to read. It is supported by advertising, and some links on the site may earn us a commission. That never changes what we write. You can read more in our Disclaimer.
